Karate-Do by Tatsuo Suzuki

Karate-Do by Tatsuo SuzukiI feel this book should be on every Wado practitioner's bookshelf, it contains not only explanations of how to correctly punch and kick for the beginner, but also gives detailed explanations and photographs of Kihon Gumite (Basic Sparring) and Ohyo Gumite (Semi-free Sparring) for the more advanced student.

Also contained in the book is a detailed description of KuShanku Kata, although it can be a bit tricky to follow. Master Suzuki has not only included the technical aspects of Wado Ryu Karate but also included a chapter dealing with Budo and training with correct spirit.

In conclusion this is a great all round book with has something to offer for all karate students especially students of Wado Ryu.

There is a lot more to this book than the brief description I have offered. To illustrate this, below you will find the books contents page.
